Best Catch of Scribbles - A Masculine Card

So in the first card I made with the Best Catch Bundle, the poor fisherman wasn't having much luck - perhaps things are looking up with this card!

A masculine card featuring the fish from the Best Catch Bundle
There's not a lot to say - it's actually a very simple card.

The base card is Night of Navy to which I added a couple of rows of Swirly Scribbles cut from Granite Gray card.

I stamped the fish with Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers before cutting it out with the coordinating die (which is actually very cool as it allows you to pop out the fins for more dimension).

I then used a ball tool and the Stampin' Pierce Mat to work the back of the fish in the same way I would for a flower petal.  It doesn't really show in the photo but it gives a dimensional effect to the fish.  I put some Stampin' Dimensionals in the hollow of the body and then adhered the beastie to the card front, tucking the tail under some of the scribbles.

I cut the small hook (part of the coordinating die set) twice; once in Silver Foil Sheet and once in Whisper White.  I coloured the white one with some Stampin' Blends, cut off the coloured part and glued it on top of the silver one.  I then adhered the hook to the card front.

The combination of labels came about from indecision!  I couldn't decide which version I liked best, so plonked them both on!  The greeting is stamped with Night of Navy ink.

I have a piece of Burlap Ribbon on my table that I cannibalise from time to time and I stripped off a little piece and added it to the card front.

Thank you for visiting.
'Til next time!
Stephanie
