Incredible Like You: Black, Granite & Calypso Coral

As I mentioned when I shared this card, I was too excited by the theme for our November Ink It, Stamp It International Design Team Blog Hop to wait (don't worry - I'll make another card for the hop!) and found tremendous inspiration in the pages of a store catalogue that had been thrust into our mail box and would normally have gone straight into the bin.

A simple colour scheme, flowers and stripes makes for a striking card

For this card I used the Incredible Like You stamp set for the stripes and the flowers and a Frosted Bouquet die for the leaves and stems.

The flowers use the two-step stamping technique and I used Calypso Coral and Poppy Parade inks on Calypso Coral cardstock.

I cutout and layered the greeting using the Stitched Rectangle dies and I did find it helpful to use my Stamparatus when stamping the greeting so that I could repeatedly stamp in the same spot to intensify the depth of colour.
