It's well worth paying a visit to Jenny's Blog, if you haven't already, because it's bursting at the seams with amazing projects that are bound to inspire. So much so that I had enormous trouble deciding which to CASE!
It's been a long time since I made an explosion card - so I thought I'd take the opportunity to make a special Christmas card for my husband. I was particularly taken with the way Jenny has made her elements 3D so that the scene can be viewed from any angle.
A 3D Christmas woodland scene - the inside of the explosion box card |
I wanted to create a woodland scene, so I added another 12" square layer inside my basic box but trimmed and folded in the corners rather than removing them altogether.
I then masked and stamped each section separately using black ink and the Winter Woods stamp set.

Each deer has two layers with the strip of window sheet sandwiched between that anchors the deer to the base.

This Christmas explosion box is made from 12" square Real Red cardstock and an A4 sheet of Shaded Spruce |
When placing the elements inside the box, leave sufficient space for the corners to fold in |
