Welcome to the monthly Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. You are currently visiting Stephanie Fischer (The Crafty Thinker) from Australia.
Our theme this month is our favourite Designer Series Paper (DSP). What a difficult choice - I love so many!! Eventually I chose the Petal Passion DSP which is a sneak peek of an item in the 2018 Occasions Catalogue (which runs from 3 January to 31st May 2018).
Petal Passion DSP watercoloured with Stampin' Up inks |
I chose it because I love versatility and this is a hugely versatile collection of paper.
Petal Passion DSP coloured with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers |
In order to illustrate some of its versatility, I've made several very similar cards all using one sheet of the paper but I've used different colouring techniques on each one.
Petal Passion DSP coloured with a sponge dauber and ink |
All of the papers are suitable for many purposes: birthdays, weddings, engagements, sympathy, mother's day or just because! Add colour or stick to an elegant black and white colour scheme.
Petal Passion DSP coloured with Stampin' Up Watercolor Pencils |
Even small off-cuts can be put to good use! I usually blend the watercolor pencils with a damp brush but for the sample above I simply left them as is.
Petal Passion DSP coloured with a Sponge Brayer |
For the brayered card, I used Powder Pink and Rich Razzleberry inks.
Petal Passion DSP, uncoloured, mounted on Crushed Curry cardstock |
All of the greetings are from the Banners For You stamp set cut out with the coordinating die in the Bunch of Banners Framelits set.

DeleteGorgeous, Stephanie! The brayer card is amazing! Well done.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jenny.
DeleteCan you tell me the size of your DSP panels and what size your square accent panel is on the yellow thank you card? These are all awesome!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words, Tara!
DeleteThe DSP panels measure: 6.25" x 3"
The square accent panel isn't quite square and measures: 3" x 2.75" for the DSP
Hope that helps.
Thank you so much! I now see that no it isn't quite square.I might make my bigger panels 6x3 so I can get more cards from one sheet of cardstock :-)
DeleteYou're very smart, Tara!
DeleteHad to go look at all the other Blog Hop submissions and I have to say I like yours the best! I love the paper so that helps but I like how you showed the different ways to color on each card. It is amazing how great your shadowing looks with the water color pencils and you didn't even add water.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you hopped around the group, Tara, and very humbled that you should like mine so much! I'm very grateful that you stopped by and took the time to leave such lovely comments! Thank you.
DeleteDo you make envelopes for this size card?
ReplyDeleteYes, Terri, I use my Stampin' Up Envelope Punch Board.
