Cheers To The Year of Carols

Here's a simple little Christmas card that uses bits and pieces that were lying on my table top and combines products from the Annual and Holiday Catalogues.

The beautiful Year of Cheer Speciality Designer Series paper doesn't need much added to it

The background paper is from the stunning Year of Cheer Speciality Designer Series Paper.  I used Stampin' Write Markers (Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy, Real Red and Basic Black) to add ink to the ornament images in the Carols of Christmas stamp set and stamped them onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock.

The Foil Snowflake was already on my table, as was the black tree branch cut with one of the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.  I layered the stamped piece onto a scrap piece of Basic Black cardstock and positioned them all onto the card front so that the decorations appear to hang from the branch.

The colour scheme is simple and fairly traditional with some shiny, celebratory silver

Using Silver Embossing Powder and Emerald Envy cardstock, I heat embossed the word "joy" and the decorative circle from the Cheers To The Year stamp set and punched it out with a 2" Circle Punch.  It's adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped the greeting from the same stamp set in Emerald Envy onto a scrap of Whisper White card and cut it out with the banner from Cupcake Cutouts Framelits.  Having sponged with Emerald Envy ink, I folded the ends and adhered to the card with a combination of Glue dots and Adhesive Foam Strips.

The inside of the card is very simple - it's about the thought and the message

The greeting on the inside of the card is from the Hearts Come Home stamp set and I placed an offcut of the Designer Series Paper at the bottom of the writing space.

Thank you for visiting.
'Til next time!
Stephanie
