A card suitable for any occasion |
My first step was to clear heat emboss the pretty flower from the Gift of Love stamp set - this is a hostess set that can be purchased with Stampin' Rewards from hosting a qualifying party.
In this progress photo, the flower has been painted with a Stampin' Chalk Marker |
The next step was to paint the flower white to create a base for the colour. I think Kylie used a Whisper White reinker mixed with the coloured ink but, since I don't have a white reinker, I used my White Stampin' Chalk Marker. I gave it a couple of coats of the chalk and let it dry before painting on some undiluted Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi ink.
My tip is to be patient with drying time! If, like me, you were at the back of the queue when patience was handed out and you really have to speed things up with a heat tool - use the heat tool on the back of the piece to preserve the heat embossing.
The little piece of Fancy Frost paper is sponged with Pink Pirouette ink and I added a piece of Early Espresso Seam Binding (sadly retired now) before finished with my greeting (stamped in Early Espresso onto Flirty Flamingo cardstock) which I cut out with one of the Stitched Shapes Framelits.
Thank you for visiting.
'Til next time!
